Thank you for an awesome stay. It's superb base for sightseeing and exploring Torver. The location is great, just next door to the Lake District, Ambleside which are an easy short drive from the cabins, and the lake in coniston. The rooms are modern and include a fridge, an oven, and a cooktop. The employees are all very welcoming. The hotel offers a huge variety of food that was good!

The lodge at Crake Valley is absolutely stunning! The open plan living area is so spacious and feels really homely. I loved chilling out on the large, wraparound deck - it was the perfect place to unwind from my hectic life. The bathroom in the lodge was really cool - it had a "Jack and Jill" setup with a shower. It felt like a fancy hotel! The kitchen had everything I needed to cook up a storm. I felt like a real chef creating amazing meals there.
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the private covered hot tub in the Scafell Lodge. I think it's more suited for couples on a romantic getaway, and as a youngster, I wasn't into that kind of thing.

We had a fantastic time at Crake Valley, enjoying the peacefulness and stunning views of Coniston. The lodge we stayed in had a private, sheltered yet open fronted hot tub, which was perfect for a romantic getaway. We spent evenings relaxing in the hot tub, surrounded by the serene beauty of the area. Coniston itself offered us fabulous walking trails, hikes, and even sailing on the lake. It was the ideal setting for quality time as a couple, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
My wife says that it would have been great if there were more activities or entertainment options for families with children. While we loved the tranquility, my kids wished for a little more variety to keep them engaged during our stay.

The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect for exploring the Lake District or simply relaxing. It offers a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, ideal for those looking for a tranquil getaway. The lodges are well-equipped, clean, and provide all the amenities you need for a self-catering break. The hot tubs are a great addition, offering privacy and a chance to unwind. Additionally, the staff members are friendly and welcoming, ensuring a pleasant stay.
It is disappointing that there are no recycling facilities available at the hotel. This lack of commitment to sustainability is disheartening and environmentally unfriendly.

We had a fantastic family vacation at Crake Valley in Torver, staying in the Oaks Lodge. The lodge itself was stunning with modern amenities, and we were pleasantly surprised by the well-equipped kitchen. The highlight of our stay was the private, sheltered yet open fronted hot tub. It provided the perfect setting for relaxation, while allowing us to soak in the breathtaking views of Coniston. The serene atmosphere and beautiful surroundings made for a truly memorable experience.
For families with children, my kids wished there were more outdoor activities or a play area within the park.

The decoration of the lodge was absolutely charming, with its light and airy interiors creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The bright colors and comfortable furnishings made it feel like a true home away from home. As a senior woman, I appreciated the thoughtful design choices that made the lodge easily accessible for me, with no stairs to navigate and spacious rooms to move around comfortably.
The only thing I would have asked for to make my vacation even better as a senior person was a bit more assistance from the staff. While the children working there were friendly and welcoming, it would have been helpful to have someone readily available to help with any special needs or requests that may arise during the stay.

Beautiful and modern lodges with cozy living rooms and comfortable amenities. Lovely location in a quiet spot near Coniston Water, perfect for a peaceful getaway.
Lack of basic supplies such as oven gloves, dish towels, and bathroom soap. Unreliable WiFi and limited availability of towels.
